The Coming
I held the Earth in my hands, and I wept.
Beseeching the Father to nurture it, allow it time to hatch.
“Spare it from flying debris, hold our Sun from calamity;
Though there are many here who would damage it with impunity!”
Spare us Father, if we might be contrite…
There are so many different things we haven’t done right.
It was right from the outset we let fear and greed embolden –
A terror that would reproduce itself; leaving each of us beholden.
To a tribe, tradition, folklore and myth
Drive and fly around some, which one you gonna get with?
The tiny shell is cracked, its air filled with poisons
Tongues shout out all over the surface, making inharmonious noises.
My tears flow and one has dropped down on your surface.
I am holding firm and gentle, I have you in my deepest embrace.
I have so much love for you, and I’m not sure why…
Then I envision your potential, and breathe a faithful sigh.
You shall NOT be destroyed, just merely reminded –
I have provided you everything! Still you decide to stay blinded.
So look in the sky as the moon starts to rise…
And take a look into my beloved child’s eyes.

To Osama bin Laden, self-declared enemy of America,
My name is Inshaallah. I am but a man and a global citizen. I am a pilgrim who believes and worships one God – the same God you and your followers call Allah and other faithful who are not part of the ummat al-mu'minin call a variety of names. I speak only as a man who submits to God’s Will without loyalty to or worship for any other person or religious doctrine. I was born in the town of Roswell, in the state of New Mexico, in the country called the United States of America. I am considered a citizen of that country by man’s law.
I have carefully read and studied your letter to the American people, and wish to respond with respect, in a fervent effort not to paraphrase your words, take them out of context, or exclude any of the points you make. If in any way you feel insulted by me, the intent of this letter is lost. The passages you offer apply to all mankind, even those of us who are not Muslim.
"Permission to fight is given to those who are fought against, because they have been wronged and surely, Allah is Able to give them victory" [Quran 22:39]
"Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight you against the friends of Satan; ever feeble is indeed the plot of Satan."[Quran 4:76]
As I answer your letter, my main thesis will be this: That to “fight” for justice is justified, but to “kill”, (by the words of the Prophets) is NEVER justified. I too shall fight injustice as God commands, and will lay down my life in that just cause, but will NEVER kill any other person. Revenge by any person is NOT sanctioned by God. I fight with all my heart to ease the sufferings of the oppressed and abused without that same heart being desecrated with the desire for revenge. In the Name of GOD, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, I state my case.
I join, not with allegiance to any religion or person, in the fight for God versus Taghut. I fight for the same Shariah that springs forth from the words and teachings of his prophets and messengers, peace and blessings of God be upon them all. The Shariah I fight for admonishes me not to kill any other person, but to fight and face death using the words God has given me to do battle, and to revere life and not to destroy it. I do not claim to be an authority on written history or scriptures, as history is always written from a perspective which discounts other perspectives, although the truth is unchanging.
Your answer to the question: “Why are we fighting and opposing you? “ is “Because you attacked us and continue to attack us.” Although you faithfully ascribe Ahmed’s writings in the Quran as the word of God, you lack justification for murder or a general call to murder.
Before my birth as a human being, many governments practiced a policy of entitlement and superiority. Although these governmental attitudes remain in degrees, those old governments and the people within them have passed away, and new ones have replaced them. This has always been true in our world even beyond Palestine, but it is understandable that your focus and thus your emphasis would be on Arabic and Muslim interests. The “oppression, tyranny, crimes, killing, expulsion, destruction and devastation” and “usury” you cite is not peculiar to the regions you mention, but your points are still important. After the war between capitalist imperialism and fascist dictatorship, during which Jewish people were singled out for persecution, the victors were attempting to be beneficent to this tortured population, while forgetting they were being malevolent to other human beings who were guilty of nothing more than self-interest and had a different understanding of the same God of Ibrahim and Musa. The assimilation of these victimized people (Jews) to their historical homeland was not improper, but this assimilation was not sought with respect for equal human rights. Yes, this wrong action by the allied nations who had achieved victory in the war must be corrected, but not by using hatred and violence. It may require conflict to correct this injustice, but conflict and confrontation need not entail murder and destruction. Pray justice will be done in the future with understanding and tolerance, even if conflict and confrontation using words is required. You said: “The creation of Israel is a crime which must be erased. Each and every person whose hands have become polluted in the contribution towards this crime must pay its price, and pay for it heavily.”
If the action was indeed a crime, it should indeed be corrected, although it can never be erased from history. Although I personally did not contribute toward this action, I have some brethren who have. Now those of goodwill must agree whether it was indeed a crime; or instead a misjudgment made without malice, and what price truly need be paid that can be most beneficial to all concerned, to promote peace and brotherhood.
I have no disagreement with your statement: “The people of Palestine are pure Arabs and original Semites. It is the Muslims who are the inheritors of Moses (peace be upon him) and the inheritors of the real Torah that has not been changed. Muslims believe in all of the Prophets, including Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all. If the followers of Moses have been promised a right to Palestine in the Torah, then the Muslims are the most worthy nation of this.”
I wholeheartedly support Muslims in Palestine, but to say “most worthy” can be interpreted as divisive and exclusionary to Jews who indeed are also worthy. With just leadership and guidance by sincere followers of God, peace can be achieved with a patient vision of the future. As God wills it so, Isma'il and Ishaq/Ya'qub an Al Eis will reconcile as brothers. The birthright belongs to all sons and daughters of Ibrahim.
You also said: “the call to a historical right to Palestine cannot be raised against the Islamic Ummah that believes in all the Prophets of Allah (peace and blessings be upon them) - and we make no distinction between them.”
This should be your call to bring brethren together, both inside and outside of the Islamic Ummah. All of the prophets (whether acknowledged or not) are a mitzvah to all mankind. You have an opportunity to promote peace.
Finally, concerning Israel, you said: “The blood pouring out of Palestine must be equally revenged. You must know that the Palestinians do not cry alone; their women are not widowed alone; their sons are not orphaned alone.”
To this I stand steadfast and reply: Revenge by any person is NOT sanctioned by God. I fight with all my heart to ease the sufferings of the oppressed and abused without that same heart being desecrated with the desire for revenge. If it is God’s will for there to be retribution, then God will be the administrator of justice, for he is all-merciful.
You ask the question: “What are we calling you to, and what do we want from you? “ for which you have seven conditions:
1) “A call to Islam” (understood to mean: submission, peace, and salvation.)
I pledge to worship God, and only God. I will submit to His will in my life. I seek peace and salvation for myself and for all with love and compassion.
2) “To stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you”
I pledge fairness, honesty, and strive toward moral behavior.
3) “To take an honest stance with yourselves - and I doubt you will do so - to discover that you are a nation without principles or manners, and that the values and principles to you are something which you merely demand from others, not that which you yourself must adhere to.”
I pledge to work within my society to define our common principles, and to only expect moral behavior from others that I am willing to perform myself.
4) “To stop supporting Israel, and to end your support of the Indians in Kashmir, the Russians against the Chechens and to also cease supporting the Manila Government against the Muslims in Southern Philippines.”
I pledge to fight for true and equal justice in the world for all mankind, and work for equality and brotherhood within governments and among all belief systems.
5) “To pack your luggage and get out of our lands. We desire for your goodness, guidance, and righteousness, so do not force us to send you back as cargo in coffins.”
I pledge to respect the laws and customs of other countries that I may visit, that fall within fair standards of just human treatment, and to set an example of respect for others.
6) “To end your support of the corrupt leaders in our countries. Do not interfere in our politics and method of education. Leave us alone, or else expect us in New York and Washington.”
I pledge to only support governments that embrace the rule of law and equal rights and education for its citizens.
7) “To deal with us and interact with us on the basis of mutual interests and benefits, rather than the policies of sub dual, theft and occupation, and not to continue your policy of supporting the Jews because this will result in more disasters for you.”
I pledge not to inflict my own moral standards upon others, other than to support equal human rights. I denounce usury, and I support a peaceful Palestinian homeland for all sons and daughters of Ibrahim.
"But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, and to His Messenger (Muhammad- peace be upon him) and to the believers." [Quran 63:8]
ALL HONOR, POWER AND GLORY BE TO GOD, AND MAY HIS TRUTH PERMEATE THE WORLD.

Mr. bin Laden, I share our God with you, and continue to study the Prophets with a discerning heart. I testify that our God is the God of Love, who has commanded us to fight, but not to hate. I will fight, knowing conflict and confrontation need not connote violence.
